Super cool school! I graduated one month ago from this school, I didnt expect to learn as much as I did. So excited to get my mobile business up and running! I will recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn. Staff is friendly and very informative, excellent profession.

GREAT Job. They did a great job with BOTH of my dogs. Friendly service right when you walk in the door. We discussed the styles for my dogs. They were ready when they said they would be and looked AMAZING with a kerchief and bow to go! Reasonably priced too...friendly from start to finish!!!

Don't be scared of the location.

Good Place To Learn Dog Grooming. I am currently attending American School of Dog Grooming and about half way finished. My life-long friend attended this school ten years ago and now owns a very successful groom shop in Lafayette, Louisianan. I came to this school based on his recommendation, I am very glad I did. The school environment is professional and pleasant. I love the teaching style here, it is "hands on" teaching. Individual attention is great ,either Greg, Tiffany or Eric are always just a few feet away for assistance. This is a busy grooming school, I am never standing around waiting on a dog to come in to groom. I always have a dog on my grooming table, this is what is building my skill level. I would definitely recommend American School of Dog Grooming.

Enroll With Confidence!!!!. My daughter is graduating from the American School of Dog Grooming today. KUDOS and PROPS to Greg, Tiffany and Eric for laying the groundwork for an excellent future for their students. The school facility may be a bit cramped or 'dated', but the care given to the dogs and students is awesome! I've heard nothing but rave reviews from my daughter who loves what she does and is grateful for the instruction she's received. Mr. Brom, we don't share your views!! This is a wonderful career opportunity for kids out of high school or those seeking a fresh start in a relatively short time. The environment is friendly, I've seen the way they handle dogs, and I totally disagree with Mr Brom. Thanks all of you at ASDG for giving my kid a fabulous start!

Do NOT enroll here !!!!!!. this is not a school it is a sweat shop.

the very first day you will NEVER see a book or an outline of what to do, you just get handed a set of clippers and told to clip and just ask if you have a question.

They accept every dog that has been kicked out of other groom shops because of biting and Greg (the owner) will NEVER tell you a dog is a biter, you find out the hard way, and something with tragic results! Dogs fight on the drying table, are handled very roughly, toenails are cut down to the quick where they bleed and they will do anything it takes to get the dog groomed so they can charge the customer,

which brings me to the cost..they charge $1,000.- for 9 weeks. you can spend the money more wisely if you ask a local groomer to teach you, this place Does NOT show you how to scissor. Never seen the place disinfected, including the cages. They use super glue on your dog when they do cut it and believe me, the students cut them often because these ARE NOT real instructors !!!

Quit Defending Your Business. The place is horrendous. The air ducts have probably never been professionally cleaned. The tubs have pipe to catch hair and the pipes have never been clean when I have gone in. They cut and clipper burn almost all of the dogs. They accept aggressive dogs which is not appropriate for students trying to learn. They are scared of getting bit therefore ask for help all the time. He makes 1000 dollars for every student that comes in. Then he charges to have the dogs clipped. He needs to spend a little bit of the fortune he makes and spruce up the place a bit.

They also dont disinfect at all. They dont mop or anything.

He cage drys the dogs which can lead to transference of fleas/tick/skin conditions/etc. Cage drying also promotes dogs to fight due to territorial control.

He doesnt teach scissor work, a basic part of dog grooming required to groom.

They sometimes get very aggressive with the dogs, overly restraining them when its not needed.

He sells pot from the shop. He allows all of his employees to smoke in the back to which I believe is banned in oklahoma by law.

ASODG is a Safe Place for dogs. I am a past student of the American School of Dog Grooming and now have my own successful dog grooming business. The owner/teacher, Greg, was always professional and his teaching skills are excellent! When I first started school, I was very impressed with how each and every dog was handled, down to a science. When a client brings a dog in, the dog is never once unattended nor unleashed, nor are they ever taken outside for any reason. There is absolutely no way that any dog could ever have gotton lost or loose, there are safety gates to prevent any dog from getting away once the owner has brought them inside, so to me, the ASODG statement makes way more sense then someone saying the school lost their dog, place blame where blame is due!

This is a rebutal to "THEY LOST OUR DOG...OUR BABY". What really happened:

The day of September 18, 2010, the groomer she is referring to is her step brother who works for me. She had him bring her Shih Tzu in to be groomed. Before her dog ever got in the shops back door it ran. Her step brother, the groomer, she is referring to ran after the dog. I, the owner, left my shop unattended jumped in my car to chase after the dog but it got away. She has not ever been a CUSTOMER of ours. Her step brother brings the dog in and grooms it on his own time. We have never lost a dog in eighteen years. We love all of the dogs that come to A.S.O.D.G. and treat them like they're our own. When you write a review know the facts. You need to tell the truth. DON'T LIE!!!!
