Clocks >Clock Clinic
Fast and honest. I was referred to the Clock Clinic by another clock store, who wasn't able to fix my clock. The Clock Clinic was courteous on the phone as well as in person. My clock was fixed in minutes while I waited and the charge was extremely minimal. The owner even carried my clock out to the car for me. I was truly impressed at his honesty, service and punctuality.
Broke my watch, then wanted me to pay him to fix it.
While changing the battery in my watch, the folks at Clock Clinic broke the stem (it would no longer turn at all). The owner got very agitated when I explained that the stem was working fine when I brought the watch in to his shop the previous week. He claimed, quite ardently, that I brought it to him that way - even though his assistant received the watch from me while he was out of town the previous week. $15 to change the battery, and he wanted me to pay him to fix what he (or his employee) broke. No thanks.
I took it to another place around the corner, and, before my very eyes, I was shown how the back had been misaligned when it was put into place after changing out the battery. This misalignment snapped the stem in two, dropping the end into the watch and locking the other part of the stem and the crown into place. $30 for a stem, $15 for a crown.
No wonder the guy at Clock Clinic got so defensive - he screwed up! It seems like e figured it would be easier to call me a liar than to either admit his mistake or, consider that his staff mishandled my watch.
