Better than ever - a "must" in Oklahoma City. The BEST filet, chicken fried steak and fried chicken in Oklahoma City! A new owner bought Newton's this year - back to the legacy it was! The decor is like a home or supper club - lots of antiques, paintings, very nice and romantic. You can be dressed to the nines, or casual, and fit in. The staff is fantastic - personalized service and feels like dining in someone's home. The new owner even stops by the table to introduce himself, thank you for coming and check on the meal. Our steaks were the best we have had in some time. They use only Cusack beef, which I'm sure is part of the reason. The chicken fried steak is absolutely unbelieveable. We also have tried the grilled salmon and tillapia, which are equally outstanding. The sauteed vegetables and spinach are perfect! We love the creme brulees, which the chef varies as to featured flavors. Newton's homemade pies are impossible to resist. I have seen people walk in without reservations, but I would suggest calling ahead - especially on Friday and Saturday nights. As far as upscale supper clubs go, Charlie Newton's is definitely Oklahoma City's best!
