Not Worth It... Time After Time.
I have worked and lived in the OKC area for almost 8 years. City Bites has locations across the Metro. I first experienced this place years ago when I ordered what I thought was a hamburger. It came out on sub sandwich bread, patties of substandard beef overlapping the bun. Was absolutely tasteless. Other locations I have been to over the years are no better. Ordered a Mexican Baked Potato a couple months ago at the Northpark Mall location... it was piled with pickeled jalapenos, and the pickle juice didn't exactly make the beef taste all that great (Who the Hell cooks with pickled jalapenos, even at home?).
And for what you get... this place is pretty expensive. Hard to get out of there for under 8 to 10 dollars per person. And the food is nothing special. I joke to my partner that City Bites serves "Bachelor Food". It's all the kind of WEIRD STUFF I would have cooked when I was 19 years old, broke and living alone in my first apartment.
Not to mention that I have never really encountered a friendly staff member at any of the CB locations. Seems like most of the employees are kids that would rather joke and talk to each other in the kitchen than help the customers out front.
