Gentle Dental Mid-Del City

RIP OFF DENTAL!!!! BEWARE. I had a tooth that started hurting me at work so badly that I had to leave Tinker and get one of my rear teeth pulled. My regular dentist was not going to be able to get me in until later in the week, that wasn't an option. So I decided to go to Gentle Dental. BIG MISTAKE!! I carry Blue Cross Blue Sheild Federal and Met life Insurance. I was told I needed to pay the charges up front and they would reimburse me after the Insurance was filed. This was in the summer of 2011 and I still haven't received any type of refund in January of 2012. I have made 15 to 20 calls. It took forever for them to file my primary ins and they still haven't filed my secondary ins (Met Life). Once they get your money they ignore you and are very difficult to deal with. Very rude employees and still no refund several months later. I guess I need to call the Better Business Bureau. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID " GENTLE-- RIP OFF-- DENTAL!!!!!!!!!!…

Fraud - Beware. I had a similar experience as Justin13. I had gone in for some tooth sensitivity since Gentle Dental was covered under our insurance. I too had to argue against the 'mandated' test over and above the free cleaning provided by insurance. I wasn't told it was a state policy, I was told it was a corporate policy of Gentle Dental. I refused the service.

Dr. Basey did do x-rays since I was experiencing sensitivity. He came back in and told me I would need a crown, to the tune of $996 of which I would have to pay $645. I wasn't completely comfortable with this so I said I would need to think about it. After going home, I became more uncomfortable. I went back two days later and asked for a copy of my file and x-rays. I was told that the x-ray taken wasn't clear enough and they'd have to take another one which I let them do. They then turned over my files reluctantly. I did my research and found another dentist in MWC with high reviews - Dr. Bob Utech. I went in to see him, he checked my teeth and told my I had absolutely nothing wrong and did not need a crown. I will be going to Dr. Bob from now on.

I'm not sure how Gentle Dental stays in business expect to scam those who have no other options under their insurance. I too will be filing an official complaint with the Board of Dentistry. Dental work is expensive enough when needed, no one deserves to be fraudently charged for unnecessary work.…

Beware!!! Dr. Basey does not know what he is doing.. Dr. Basey was my children's orthodontist and now we have to go to Dr. McCune to have Dr. Basey's mistakes reversed. One example: he preformed a surgery on my daughter to have a tooth pulled down from the top of her mouth and now we are informed that tooth was put in the wrong place and she will have to have an impalnt. Also informed he was not qualified to do this type of procedure. My son"s teeth are worse than when we started and both children have to have full braces all over again. Don't put your children through what ours went through.…
