Best Thai in the Area.
I really like the lunch buffet. Especially the vegetarian items. There are a lot of things not on the buffet tho, so you need to look at the full menu. Like the green curry, and massaman curry, which are great!

Perfect Lunch on a Rainy Day.
I've moved around and traveled a bit lately and I always love to check out Thai places in a new city. After reading other reviews of Sala Thai, I had been looking forward to trying it all week and finally made it there today.
Sala Thai is conveniently located across the street from the university on NW 23rd, just east of Penn. Perhaps it was the weather, cold and rainy today, but I had the place to myself and the interior of the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated.
There were plenty of delicious-sounding choices on the menu, even some rarely-seen curry choices that sounded very tempting, but I ordered my usual selection for a first time in a new thai restaurant: the Massaman Curry with Tofu and a Thai Tea. Service was very friendly and timely, not rushed and not slow, and the food was excellent, as evidenced by my empty plate afterward! Portion sizes were spot on. The curry was rich and flavorful, and steeped in simplicity, with just the right level of spice.
The tab was reasonable: ~$11 pre-tip.
I'll be going back to try some of the other dishes!

Tasty Thai just south of Oklahoma River and Bricktown..
Clean and very TASTY!!! Nice find at great prices. This local eatery with its mom/pop atmosphere with great view of OKC make dining a enjoyable and delicious experience. Gotta try something new on my next visit.

Good food, authentic thai.
I find the food here is above average if you order from the menu. Very authentic cooking. Strong flavors such as coconut, ginger etc. Avoid the buffett, it's not that great. Their pad thai is really good and so are the other dishes as well. I don't think you could go wrong if you order from the menu. This is one of the best thai places in okc

Was the best in OKC but Sala Thai has changed..
When Nick was at the helm, Sala Thai was always packed and the food was always amazing, but that was years ago. Nick has moved on and now has his own Thai restaurant in Edmond, Thai Palace. The menu at Sala Thai has not changed but the quality of food and service have definitely deteriorated. It's not bad but it's nothing special.

sala thai restaurant.
Some of the best cooking in Okla. City. Huge menu, all lovingly prepared. Heat levels can go completely off the scale, if you wish. Unlike any other Thai restaurant I've ever eaten in.
A MUST SEE in this city.

Absolutely wonderful.
This is a great restaurant. The atmosphere is splendid. The staff is wonderful and personable. The food it just plain great. You must have a Thai Coffee or a Thai Iced Tea. I'd go back just for those. I always feel very, very well satisfied after leaving this place. It's incredibly good and I go there everytime I'm in OKC.
