This facility is fabulous and I would
recommend it to everyone that has children. My daughter started going here when she was 3 years old. She is now 6 and attends Kindergarten during the day so she only goes to daycare in the afternoon for a few hours. Any day that there is no school, she gets sooooooo excited because she gets to go to daycare ALL day. She has established close relationships with not only the kids in her class but the teachers and Mrs. Shirley as well. When I walked in to the facility for the first time to sign my daughter up the first thing I was ecstatic about was the fact that it did NOT smell like a daycare. Any parent that has had their children in other daycare centers know the smell I'm referring to. It is extremely clean and all of the staff make us feel like family. I was kind of in a rough spot when I was needing to sign her up because I needed her to start immediately but there was a waiting list. Mrs. Shirley went out of her way and assured me that she would find a way to make room for our daughter. I'm so glad I can trust these people to watch over my daughter because you can't find it anywhere else.
Last year we were at the state fair and we happened to see Mrs. Shirley and her family. Our daughter really wanted to ride on the swings but she was not tall enough to ride without an adult & Mrs. Shirley graciously offered to ride with her. I was astounded that she was so gracious to do that when she certainly did not have to. This just shows what kind of relationship she has formed with our daughter and how much she really and truly cares.
Absolutely love this place and all the staff!!!
I love God's Little Blessings! The staff is so awesome and Shirley is great!! I feel like they truly care about my kids. I feel like I have become friends with some of the teachers my kids have had over the years because they take the time to get to know me, as well as know my children. My son recently became old enough to ride the bus home and stay by himself, and the staff still asks about him. The peace of mind I have knowing my children are safe and being taken care of is priceless!
God's Little Blessing is a blessing. God
Top Notch Children's Care. I witnessed a teacher at God's Little Blessings basically save a young girl from choking this morning. It was comforting to see the teacher not panic, and remain calm, and perform the necessary actions to dislodge the food from the throat of the young girl. I feel very fortunate and blessed that my son is a part of this facility, and seeing the good deed today by the young lady, I feel that I would absolutely reccommend this facility to anyone!!!
The BEST childcare facility anywhere!.
My daughters have been at GLB since they were 2 years old, and my oldest is now 9. For seven years, the owners Shirley and Charlie have been like part of our family, as have the other employees who care for our children. GLB is not just a daycare facility, it truly is a family! They have more long-term employees than most businesses and the turnover is very low which means more consistency for our children.
God's Little Blessings is always immaculately clean, always organized, always being updated...the children not only learn a Christian curriculum, but how to treat others and are encouraged to call their classmates "friends". They are required to follow proper table manners, and my daughters are two smart cookies as a result of their time at GLB.
Do they tolerate endless negative behavior? NO. They are responsible for caring for an entire daycare of children, not just a few, so they cannot afford to continuously put up with behavior issues. Do they call when your kid is sick? YES. Again, part of their job in ensuring the safety and well-being of the group, not just a few individuals.
As I have told the owner Shirley, when I observe the behavior she patiently tolerates from parents...we are living in a society of babies who expect everything done THEIR way, for THEIR kid and if not...they are mad.
THANK YOU Cospers and GLB for always keeping ALL the children safe, healthy, and happy by adhering to boundaries. We love you so much and will be forever grateful for the part you have played in our lives!
Such a Great Daycare!. Working with children can sometimes be a challenge whether they are your own or someone else's. Being a parent of an incredible young lady I will have to give ALOT of credit to this loving daycare, as she went there years ago. I work for an elementary school and we have students from 7:30-3:00 everyday. There are children that of course go to daycare and we have to have them ready to go when their transportation arrives. Having them wait for their ride can sometimes be "fun" especially when they are tired and just not in the mood to sit and wait. However, God's Little Blessings children are in their lines (more than one because there are so many of them, no other daycare has more than one line) and when their ride is called they stand up, they stay in their line and the older ones help the little ones who are not used to the routine and they are like a big family taking care of each other. That to me says a lot about what they are taught, not just in the books but by THE MAIN BOOK! When their drivers get there they have a list and the children are checked off and if there is one not there they ask if that particular child left. The kids are excited to go see Ms Shirley & their teachers and to end their day. I have worked at this elementary school for 6 yrs and have never heard anything but great things about their daycare. Even though my precious daughter went there 12 yrs ago, I am blessed to know she was taken care of better than thought she was. Knowing your child is loved and taken care of during the day when we cannot be with them is such a peace of mind.
God's Little Blessings-Yukon, OK.. My Granddaughter has been attending GLB for three months, and both of us could not be more pleased. My Granddaughter is ALWAYS clean, tidy, and happy when I pick her up, making it easy to run errands, etc. before going home. The entire staff is pleasant, always ready with a smile and kind word. We all know at times it is necessary that our children spend more time in childcare than they do with us, if you want to rest assured that your child is truly cared for I recommend you visit GLB. I am so thankful for all they do.
I love GLB and my son is NOT perfect.
My son has attended GLB since he was 1 year old. He is 11 and starting middle school next week. I can't believe GLB won't be part of our lives anymore. This is the safest most caring place I can imagine putting my child if you can't be home with them yourself.
Are they too strick? heck no, otherwise my son would have never made it. Do they require order, organization, and respect while having fun - yes. My son is one of those who always pushes the envelope so he has spent plenty of time "at the front desk" in his earlier years at GLB and I am thankful for it. If he had been allowed to do the things he would try to do and get away with it - then what kind of middle school kid would I have right now? A holy terror, that's what!
I have a smart, funny, loving, and respectful 11 year old. He loves the Lord and much of that has been instilled by the teachers and Ms. Shirley. There isn't much turnover at all there and that should speak volumes.
Everyone has their own opinion and I mean no disrespect to others that have posted theirs. I just want to show the other side of the coin so to speak. We love GLB and our son is no a perfect child. (well, perfect to me! LOL)
There are many flavors of ice cream!. I can only speak from my own family's experience, but God's Little Blessings should be renamed "God's TREMENDOUS Blessings" as it has been a cornerstone in our child's life. Our 11 year old son has gone to GLB since the age of one and we have grown to love the very qualified staff and consider the owners to be personal friends. In fact, we are mourning the fact that our son only has a few days left at GLB before he will be too old. I don't make these comments to demean anyone elses' opinion - I love that we live in a free country and are free to express our opinions. I wonder though, if you would use the same "sharp" words in person as you would in this type of forum. Is GLB the perfect daycare? No! There isn't one. Are any of us perfect? I only know of one who walked this earth that was and it is only through His perfection and Grace that I make it through each day. Sorry to be wordy, but like the old Merle Haggard song goes, "you're walking on the fighting side of me" when it comes to running down GLB. All parents, including myself, think our own children are little angels. The fact is, GLB has their hands full and they have to take into consideration the safety, security, and christian learning aspects of our children. Do they miss a step here or there? I'm sure they do, but I would give them an A++++ rating as would the MAJORITY of the longtime GLB parents. Thank you GLB for the service and care you provide! We appreciate and love you very much. Do not let the unkind and inconsiderate words of others get you down. God alone is the judge and He will never leave nor forsake you. May God continue to bless and protect GLB!
Horrible Experience. I definitely do not recommend this daycare to anyone unless their child is a perfect angel that never does anything wrong. My experience with this facility was horrible! Rude, uncaring director/management, I was called constantly to come pick up my child. I switched to another daycare and didn't have near as many complaints about my child as compared to this one. They are the ones with the problem!
