I read the above reviews after moving into Renaissance in Sept, 2013. Wow, what a difference. I love it here and the management has been very helpful, friendly and responsive to every need I have expressed. Maintenance is the best I've ever encountered. As for noise, I can hardly believe how quiet it is here. I rarely hear my neighbors, usually in the day time when I do. I was told to expect noisy and rowdy neighbors....that is so not true. I have many college student neighbors but they are polite and not given to loud parties. How did I get soooo lucky. Many of the people living here are young professionals but there are families living here too, especially since about 30 vacancies were filled with Moore residents who lost their homes last May, at least, that is what I was told. I had to wait two months for my apartment and I am glad I waited. I have NO complaints 6 weeks after moving in..
Thank goodness for the change – I agree with the other posts. It was horrible a few years ago. I have lived here since May 2007 and there has been horrible management over the years. I will say though that it has changed. Since earlier this year when new people took over, this place has changed dramatically. They actually care about us, the people living here, and go out of their way to show it. They are always in the office with smiles on their face. They have painted the buildings and are in the process of putting up new roofs on the buildings. One day I was leaving for work and the girls from the office were outside in the freezing cold handing out Krispy Kreme doughnuts to everyone who drove by. They have gatherings for us who live here often. Now, when I have to call them about a light going out or anything that requires maintenance, they are here the same day. The maintenance guys are very nice too.
I am now happy to say that I live here and even though I don't normally like change,,,, I love the change going on around here.
WORST MANAGEMENT – Please contact me before even considering looking through this apartment complex. 1. The housing conditions are horrible--we couldn't move in on time due to the roof leaking and flooding the apartment. Then we had mold growing all over our apartment and I had to call health services to check on it. The apartment smelled of cat odor, and unfortunately I am allergic to cats. There was cat hair all over the carpet still before we moved in. There were cobwebs covering our porch, which were the least of this apartments worries. While living there, the ceiling constantly leaked every time it rained, and it was a serious problem, having parts of our ceiling fall off and onto the bed and carpet, also making the carpet smell, once again, of mold and odor. 2. The management system is horrible. Good luck contacting them with any complaints--it took me MONTHS to get ahold of a manager, with my daily phone calls to them being screened. I moved out last MAY and it is now NOVEMBER and have still not gotten my security deposit back, which they claim was due to CAT ODOR. Funny, huh? I've never owned a cat, let alone a pet in the apartment, and I even had them clean it when I moved in due to cat hair. The management system is completely unsympathetic to any problems which may occur in the apartment, and only care about your money and finding any way they can to keep all of it. My phone number is (405) 623-7190 if anyone would like to speak to me about their concerns.
Terrible place to live – Management is rude and it is extremely hard to get anything fixed when it is broken. The patio door is barely hanging on the hinges and cannot be used and has been for over a year. The apartments are not well made and you can hear everything through the walls and ceilings. I would never recomend this place.
Never live here – The management here is horrible. We had an extremely leaky roof that covered our entire apartment (every room was wet) and no matter how many times we called them, they would not fix it. It took over a month of living with stepping over bowls of water all over the floors of our apartment until they fixed it. Not to mention numerous other management issues. I would never recommend anyone to live here.
Worthless Apartment – This apartment is the worst I have ever lived in. It started when we put the deposit down, we were told that they wouldn't deposit the checks until our application had been processed, which was a huge lie, they deposited the checks 2 weeks before we got approved for one of the apartments. The door frames are made of cardboard (no joke, we've had to replace 4) and the walls are paper thin, not to mention that you can hear every foot step above you or below you. They are made very poorly and very cheaply. It's not worth the money at all. The manager is a total witch, don't even bother trying to deal with her. Our rent has been stolen, probably by staff (I can't see who else could have done it) and they have no respect for their tenants, plus they will not work with you. When our rent check was stolen they threatened to evict us in 5 days, which is illegal, and they wouldn't even hear us out on the fact that it had to have been stolen. We have had to have numerous repairs in our apartment, including our hot water heater, which took them a month to fix, meaning we had no hot water for a month regardless of how many times we had to call them. Half the power sockets in the kitchen do not work and there is faulty wiring throughout the rest of the apartment. The neighbors across the road are very disturbing and alarming as well, I half expect to be robbed. I advise anyone viewing these apartments not to rent, it's a nightmare from the very beginning.
don't be lured in – never live here. ever.
My boyfriend and I both have great jobs, a great family, etc. We wanted a nice place to live before we bought a house and were lured in by the outward appearance and how wonderful everyone was to us...
Then we put in our application. We were lied to for weeks and weeks. We made a combined income of 80,000! Of of their specs, our apartment should have been WELL secured for anyone who made 30,000/year. We have no credit issues, we have nothing within our backgrounds that is unfavorable, etc.
Finally we are approved. Then they refuse to give us our apartment number because of privacy rights. They said we couldn't have it until THE DAY WE MOVED IN. That is right. We had to contact our lawyer for advise and inform them we had before they moved forward. Then they moved our apartment twice.
Finally, we moved in to a filthy apartment. They asked us to come back later so they could have it recleaned and sprayed for the 20+ spiders we found everywhere. When we came back, the apartment was still largely dirty and a thick layer of dust lay everywhere. That is terrible.
Since then we have had lots of issues. We pay to have our trash picked up but it never happens (they won't refund us or give us any credit). Our ceiling had a leak in it for over a month before we could get them to fix it. All they did was cover it up. I'm pretty sure there is mold growing there.
SAVE YOURSELVES. NEVER MOVE IN. TELL EVERYONE!
