Please read!. Please do not take your loved ones here unless you want them to die a slow and ignored death! I have had many dealings with this facility the assisted living part, on many different levels. I have found they ignore doctors orders, they mistreat and neglect their patients to the umpteenth degree. The nurse (Heather) continually abuses patients and the DON allows her to do so, even takes her side when questioned. The facility is pretty but there is a huge lack of communication and safety for patients. Please do not allow your family members to live here.…
Copper Lake Estates.
The primary concern at Copper Lake Estates is the safety and well being of our residents. Families are notified of the potential harm associated with loved ones that may wander, especially with a
lake on our property. No notice to famlies of the need to move within 24 hours is ever convenient or timely regardless of when that information is delivered, but we will always put the safety of our residents above the uncomfortable conversations it creates with families. Our commitment to this family has been to help them move, make referals to a more appropriate community, and we offered 1 0n 1 companionship with the resident until the family could make arangments at no charge.
Our staffing levels exceed the state requirements…
Copperlake Retirement Community. While Copper Lake Retirement Community has nice facilities and it is a clean and healthy environment, it is understaffed and the people who run the community do not make good on their promises. We moved my grandparents there about two years ago to their independent living area. It worked well until my grandmother died and we had to move grandpa to assisted living. Recently my grandfather, in his confusion, has left the facility at night. While there is an alarm, I have never seen anyone at the front desk past 8pm. When my grandfather did it again, the community called my parents in and made it clear that he had to moved. When they asked how much time they had to look, the people in charge said that day. I think it is ridiculous that given the situation they did not come forward with this sooner nor did they provide any flexibility on this issue. I understand why he needed to be moved, but my family did not appreciate being told they had no time to find a better and safer environment to put him in. We are currently moving him to Hearthstone. I was appalled at how my grandfather and my family were treated. Understanding and communication is key to any business, especially this kind. Would recommend people to look elsewhere for their loved ones care.…
Fun Times!. My girlfriend and I went to the happy our at Copper Lake to visit her grandmother - they were having a happy hour and we proceeded to join in with the residents - it was pretty cool and unexpected. Anyway - just saw it on here while I was getting the address for my clients - Keep it up Copper lake. . . . and save me an apartment.…
Beautiful place!. My husband and I used to run around the lake. It is so nice. We don't run much anymore, but we still keep up with the nice couple that lives in one of the garden villas behind our property. They have nothing but good things to say about Copper Lake, so I thought I'd support them in saying what a wonderful place it is. We have inquired about one of the villas for us as well when the time comes. . . we love this area and don't want to move too far away; and we love the idea of not having to cook or do yardwork too!!…
