Simply the Best.
Dr. Boles has been my family's dentist for over two years. My first visit was as a walk-in, and even though I had procrastinated to the point of unbearable pain at the very end of that day, Dr. Boles
was as kind, patient, and gentle as if I was his first patient of the day and not as if I was the holdup to closing the office that day - and I certainly was that holdup.
Several weeks later I had the misfortune of breaking a bonded tooth; this was one of my front teeth, and I had had the bonding done only a year before by another dentist. Over the course of 25 years, I'd had the bonding redone many times by many different dentists and had resigned myself to living with unsightly front teeth; because Dr. Boles had treated me so well the first time, I returned to him instead of the dentist who had done the bonding the year before.
Dr. Boles was amazing; his suggestion was to replace all 3 of my broken/bonded front teeth with a bridge, rather than simply repair the bonding. It is puzzling to me now why no other dentist all those 25 years never proposed this to me. The bonding had always left me with tell-tale lines on my front teeth, more noticeable with each passing year, and I had come to be very self-conscious about smiling. The bridge was such a beautiful solution, sure to last much longer than the bonding ever did; I still cannot thank Dr. Boles enough for giving me back my smile.
I have been to so very many dentists through the years, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Dr. Boles is a shining star among dentists; he is meticulous, patient, caring, and honest, and I have recommended him without hesitation to everyone I know. I have been to Dr. Boles several times for different dental problems, and I have always received top-notch treatment.
I take all 4 of my children to Dr. Boles, and every one of them loves him. He treats them kindly and with respect, and I have not had one complaint from even one of them about any procedure they've had done. I must say they respect Dr. Boles, as well, and he has been able to inspire them to brush their teeth more than once a day when I have not; I can think of no other dentist I have taken my children to, whom they adore as much as Dr. Boles. In fact, they complained loudly about every other dentist I ever took them to, but they have never once complained about Dr. Boles.
I would say if you are tired of impatient, inattentive, sadistic dentists who do shoddy work at exorbitant prices, and you are looking for a patient, attentive, kind dentist who does excellent work at reasonable prices, then you should surely give Dr. Boles a try. He is a wonderful dentist with a wonderful staff, and as long as I live close enough, Dr. Boles will be my family's dentist.…
Worst Dentist EVER!.
I needed 2 root canals and could not get into anyone. Our family has used them in the past in Moore and also in South OKC and did ok. I agreed reluctantly because I wanted the pain to stop. I saw Dr.
Ryan Boles. I got in, requested and took the gas and the hygienist numbed me up with shots. They hurt but I handled it without any problems. You could not ask for a more compassionate assistant or hygienist who administered injections. Then Dr. Boles came in and started drilling and hit a nerve and I raised my left hand. He shot more shots and he left for over an hour with me on gas. The assistant finally turned it to oxygen. Then he came back started drilling and he hit a nerve and at the same time that I raised my left hand I jerked a bit out of protective reflex. It actually startled me that I did that. My face was just soaked from tears from hitting the nerve. He was livid and rude. He yelled "don't don't ever do that or I won't treat you. I mean it don't ever do that again. You could give me a disease that you have. He then said that "pain is part of medical treatment and that I needed to accept pain. If you want I'll just stop right now! You need sedation!" I said yes please. To be honest I was hurting so badly and it happened so quickly that I was startled it happened and that this guy was having a tirade. I guess he was doing an interpulpal injection into the pulp-which is known to be very painful and cause a startle reaction. I had no idea since he didn't explain anything at all to me. He said the root canal might not even save the tooth anyway! He stomped out. The nurse hugged me and said "I am so sorry. It wasn't your fault. It was a reflex from the nerve. You didn't do anything wrong. That tooth is just HOT from the infection" By this time I am sobbing. She had to get him to come back and put in a temp filling in. The asst. kept saying it wasn't my fault and that the tooth was "so hot" You would think that for several thousand dollars he could have some chairside manner. I left feeling degraded, victimized and humiliated. I have dental work done in the past (fillings and wisdom teeth extractions) throughout my adult life and never felt drilling or intense pain like this. This wasn't pressure. It was shooting, sharp, excruciating pain. I know the difference now. I felt like someone being operated on with no anesthesia. It doesn't take anyone long to research that the cause of the pain was the infection surrounding my tooth that rendered it unable to numb. Another thing that was very disturbing is that when I walked out to my car and my face was numb from my chin to my nostrils and I pushed on the gum where the infection was puffy over the tooth and I could feel the toothache when I pushed. That tooth was no where near dead
I have never in my life been treated so rudely by a licensed professional. of that and not to put off getting things that result in pain to be checked out.
I think that I am most disturbed that we have allowed this rough, incompetent dentist to work on my disabled son. I pray that he gets the same compassionate service (NOT!) in his mouth or anywhere else in his body someday. And that no one else has to experience the wrath of his adolescent tirade and painful, inhumane treatment of patients. His comments were insensitive, inappropriate and incorrect. He acted as if he was too good and above the patients that he treats. I am not sure if he just is unhappy with his contract or he truly could care less about the patient. Regardless, it is my opinion that he is not suitable to work on human beings, or animals for that matter. Do yourself and your family a favor and go somewhere else! I did and have found that there are dentists that truly care about their patients and want them to be comfortable.…
