Think Before You Post

I'm not a friend or foe of the owners of this salon, but after reading the nasty gossipy comments posted on this topic, I would like to remind people that posting on the internet under an anonymous name does not protect you from legal action. If you are posting verifiable information such as "the salon did not do an acceptable job with my haircut" that is your opinion. Personal attacks and accusations which may make businesses lose customers is a legal matter. You CAN be held liable for your posts.............. Employee problems
by curlyhairsooner
I was excited about this place opening in Norman, because it seemed like a real professional salon, which we are lacking here in town. I asked for a stylist who knew how to work with curly hair, as I have curly hair and like to wear it naturally- not straighten it. I was told two girls were available. I made an appointment with one about two weeks in advance. Twice before my appointment, the salon called me and asked to change my appointment. Very unprofessional, but fine, I needed a haircut so I went with it. At the salon the stylist would not work with my hair curly. She said she had to straighten it to check the cut, even though I did not want it straightened. A true expert styler of curly hair can cut the curly hair dry and doesn't need to straighten it to "check the cut." After she straightened it I asked her to please style it curly, since that's what I wanted. She was pissed about this, and did a horrible job. I can do better myself at home. A few weeks after my appointment, the salon called me out of the blue, to tell me that this stylist had been fired and wanted to know my experiences with her. I was honest. I was not offered ANY incentive to return to Scott Risk. In my opinion, if a stylist leaves a salon, the salon should offer the customer a discount to keep that customer with a new stylist. I wasn't offered anything. The exact same thing happened to my mother, who also went there and saw a completely different stylist. Another one fired, and no incentive offered to my mother to keep her as a customer. Unprofessional. The place obviously has management issues.
- Pros: I don't know
- Cons: Everything
Best Salon I have tried!!!!!
by HappywithLife
I have tried a lot of hair salons all over Oklahoma, this was by far the best. I will never go anywhere else. My hair is so incredibly healthy since Scott did it. I really am not even sure what he did but it's incredible. The cut is impeccable and the color is perfect (and I am NOT easy to please). It is a little pricer than what a lot of us Oklahomans are used to but cough it up girls its worth it!!! I can tell from these reviews there are rumors about the owners...we all graduated from high school a long time ago, grow up. Why do you care about the personal life of your hair dresser????? They do amazing hair, that is all that matters.
- Pros: Very experienced and focused on making you happy!!
