BEST TATTOO SHOP!. I recieved two tattoos at Atomic Lotus. The first was by Hound, who is the BEST tattooer i have ever been to. He comes off kind of rough, but trust me HE IS WORTH IT. I have been tattooed all over the country and I will always go back to Hound again and again. My second tattoo was done by Stone, who last time I heard, is not there anymore. Anyway, he was just as good and SUPER nice. He did my whole foot (which is not the most comfortable plact to get a tattoo) and made the experience pleasant, even though I thought my foot was going to come off. I recently moved across the country and I REFUSE to get another tattoo until I can get back to Atomic Lotus.
VERY RUDE STAFF. Went in twice to talk about getting a tattoo fixed or covered up. Hound ended up talking to me both times. He was seriously the rudest person I have ever met. He was so rude to me the second time that I went out to my car and cried. I have thick skin when it comes to strangers being rude, but he was beyond rude. I don't even know what to call it. He made me feel two inches tall.
Hound is who you want. Look, Hound is who you want to tattoo you. If a guy who is very expweriienced does not understand the meaning or placement behind a tattoo, why would you question him? Honestly, a tattoo artist's job is to talk you out of a permanent job if he does not agree with your reasoning. I mean, think about it. Who has more experience at handling people with bad tattoo ideas? Just think about that next time.
Great except for one thing.... We traveled to Atomic Lotus to get my 2nd tattoo recently, and had a great experience except for one important thing. The guy at the front desk was helpful and friendly, he was such a personality and made me feel so comfortable! I was getting a phrase tattooed on my wrist and he helped me pick out the best font and size for my tattoo. When we went back into the room to get the actual tattoo by a guy named Hound, the night turned uncomfortable and awkward. The artist had tons of experience which i loved, but he questioned my decision on the placement and meaning of my tattoo over and over again. He called the placement of my tattoo a stupid trend and that it didn't make any sense. I was extremely uncomfortable and nervous; he made me question myself, which is the opposite that I feel he should have acted. Overall, the experience was great, but my artist questioned me and that made the whole experience tainted. The tattoo was great, but I will NEVER go back to Hound.
