Don't waste your time and money. $7 cover charge. No big deal. However, this place is the epitome of "cheesy". No DJ. No live music. Music is determined by a jukebox, which only has cheesy music to choose from. If you like to get jiggy to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, the Bee Gees, or Olivia Newton-John, you might like this place. When I heard that they played music from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, I thought it would be more rock and hip-hop/R&B. Even if we liked the music, the dance floor was incredibly small. Hell, even the effects (smoke machine, lighting, etc.) was cheesy. Definitely not what we were expecting from a night club. To top it off, a guy (who I would guess was in his late 60's) showed up in a white shirt and white pants, with several gold chains around his neck, sunglasses, and greasy hair slicked back over his bald spot. Nah, we stayed here for about 45 minutes before deciding there were a number of places that were much better. We ended up going to CityWalk, which didn't cost us as much to get in ($10 for men and ladies were free), plus they had drink specials going on. Yeah, Groovy's was horrible. That's 45 minutes of my life I wish I could get back, and some of the things we saw still have me trying to gouge my eyes out. Make a note . . . If you see several mini vans parked out in front of a club, and you go in anyway, you get what you deserve.

The club was amazing but the cover charge was outrageous. My husband and I went to Groovy's on New Year’s Eve. We had just had dinner at Red Rock Canyon Grill and I felt like dancing. My daughter had told us about Groovy's she had never been there but my daughter said she had her heard them advertise on Magic 104.1 so I figured lets go. We found the place and at the entrance there was a coverage charge sign that read $7.00 per person and my husband I thought wow that’s economical. When we approached the lady at the entrance she saw us and covered the $7.00 font and told us it was $25.00 a person. I hesitated a little but figured its New Year’s Eve let’s just enjoy ourselves. So we paid the amount without informing the women she was over charging us. We walked in and it was crowded which was expected since it was New Year’s Eve. The drinks were reasonable the music was wonderful. It was over all a nice place to send the evening at. We enjoyed ourselves very much as we danced and sang the good old music I enjoyed in my younger years. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family. We plan on going out there again for my birthday this weekend. I just hope we aren’t charged $25.00 a person this time. I don’t want to make a scene I just hope it’s not that pricy again since it will be quite a few of us this time.
