The worst of the worst in Norman OK. Why? 1. Run down office 2. Unclean looking staff 3. Hard as a rock massage tables 4. So-called "massages" are just lotion rub downs. I mean my list could go on and on. I never do bad reviews but I was so disappointed that I even paid for this terrible experience. If I was more brave I would have just told them how crappy it was and left.
My experience at Serenity Massage was wonderful! I had a great wrap and massage that I have gotten off of living social. I was impressed that I bought their dvd to learn swedish massage. I am amazed at how easy it is! I can't wait to starting using my skills on my friends and family!
I had a great massage at Serenity Massage. I even bought their dvd "Massage Made Easy" I have tried it out a few times and it really is easy!
BEWARE!!!!!!. You have been warned!!!! Do not go here unless you would like an experience that makes you feel like you need a shower afterwards in more ways than one. I bought a massage on groupon thinking I was getting a great deal. Well, let me start off by saying that old phrase, "You get what you pay for." The place is a dump and the staff is questionable. I was given a massage (if that's what you want to call it) by the supposed owner who was wearing large gray sweatpants. Lets just say that he was excited during my visit. I was insulted, disgusted, and left feeling violated. At the end, he wrote his personal cell phone on the back of a card and said I could call him for a special pricing of massages where he would massage me for 2 hours for only $15! My friend received a massage at the same place and was told that people didn't actually need to be professionally trained in massage but only befriend an Asian person who could teach the the ropes. Very inappropriate. RODAMNDONKULOUS!!!!!!!!!
Great!!!. I got in right away, they worked around my schedule and did a great job, I really feel like this is an awesome place for a massage and will go again!!!!
Wow! I called to redeem a coupon for the same day, and was given a date the week of Thanksgiving, almost a month away. I understand that they sold a lot online, so I guess it wasn't a shock. However, I got a call back an hour later, saying that there was a cancellation in at the time I wanted, and I was able to get in that evening.
What a nice way to get the day going! I guess they're busy, but it was really nice to get the great customer service of a courtesy call to see if I still wanted that time. Easily the best massage I've gotten, and that shoulder-blade thing that the owner boasts about is no joke! I've never had my shoulders feel so good! Thank you, thank you!!!
If you have shoulder issues, ask about the shoulder thing when you call!!!
I got a massage from Serenity Massage and was VERY pleased with it. I also as many of you purchased a groupon and did at first have a hard time setting up my appointment. The owner did have poor staff that when he left town did not uphold their duties. The owner has completely turned the business around and now in order to set up an appointment you email them. My email was returned within a day and they got me in immediately. The service was very good and professional and the staff went over and beyond to ensure I was a happy customer.
The owner is extremely understanding and he will make sure you are a happy customer - just give him the chance! I understand people get frustrated; however, I strongly believe if you email him and explain what happened they WILL make it right!!!!!
After receiving my massage I felt SO much better and was in such a good mood. I highly recommend the company!!!!

Where to begin??? First of all, yes, it took two weeks to get a call back from the company. I bought a gift certificate from Serenity Massage in July. When I tried to redeem it at the end of September, I called several times and got no response. My husband makes pretty good money, so I just chalked it up as a loss.
However... I finally got a call and was shocked. I got a call at almost midnight! In the owner's defense, I did say that they could call at any time, no matter what, because I was anxious to get in there. So he did. He called in the middle of the night. Although I was kind of mad, I was impressed that the owner called me himself, and pleaded his case. He truly has gone through a lot trying to keep a staff of people who are willing to work as hard as he does.
Not only did he get me in the next day, but he did it for me at 6am, so I could get my massage before I left on a plane to go my sister's wedding last week. It was the only time I could spare to go before my flight. It was the best session I ever had, and I can even move my arms over my head, when I haven't been able to even do half of that for almost 5 months, due to an injury.
They don't even open until 9am, and he let me come in at 6am! The owner explained that he had to go home to take care of family business and see his daughter. When he came back, he found that no one who was supposed to be taking calls, was doing their job. I was there that day and he showed me a letter he got from a former employee who mailed him a list of about 300 names of people that called, and she just got tired of calling. She quit by mailing him a letter, and mailing him a list of names of people that she didn't want to call. At least she mailed it back, I said!
At any rate, he threw in a free body scrub so I felt great to go to the wedding. He asked me to please leave an honest review, because I told him that I found a lot of bad reviews online. When I asked him what I should say or where I should leave a review, him simply asked that I just be honest. I was impressed! I am impressed. He is sincere, honest, and from what I've seen and the other 2 clients that I saw when I visited yesterday, he is genuine and his company is real. He simply tried to hire people to help run his company while he went to see his 7 year old daughter.
He truly seems to run the place by himself now, and I can only recommend to everyone out there, to just keep calling. I even met a lady who got a refund from Living Social, and he still gave her a free session, to try to give a good gesture to her, and said that she bought her voucher and he felt that she deserved to still get her session.
As hard as it is to believe, I honestly have never met anyone like him.! He is intent on making his company work, and making it up to his patrons who have bought the online sessions. So to everyone out there, try to understand that he can only do so much, but he is doing it all as best as he can.
While my experience started aweful... and with a zero rating, with the amount of effort and sincere apology, and even a freebie, I have to honestly say that he is a top notch owner, who just had bad help doing bookings, and his company is a delight! So, just be patient, keep sending a message, and he will take care of your situation. I'm a believer now, and I'm going keep going as much as I can... oh... and he said I could even keep coming at the low Groupon price for a while, and I didn't even buy a Groupon.

Overt Scam. I wish I could give a zero. I don't actually believe this place is a business. I think they scammed Groupon into making a bunch of people pay and they are not following up. I called multiple times to try and schedule an appointment, and left messages that we NEVER returned. I went to the office multiple times, but no one was ever there and the lights were off. I considered calling the police. I will be complaining to Groupon, I have tried to contact them to demand my money back, and I am trying to decide how else I can warn others away from this blatant example of thievery.
not professional!. Every time we had made an appointment they have called and canceled. Their doors are always locked and not ever open when their hours say. No one answers the phone and when they do they dont ever have the book to schedule an appointment. Its not at all a proper business so take your money else where.
