Walnut Creek Wedding Chapel "We specialize in stress-free weddings" Are you kidding me? If I would have searched for reviews on this place they call a business first, I would have NEVER booked my wedding here! Yes the chapel, reception, and the groundskeeping is beautiful, but the owners are not professional or personable. Walnut Creek reels you in by making you think that they will cater to your every need, want, and desire. They set up your appointments with the vendors for you, which by the way are a joke. They have certain vendors that are locked in to give you crappy service and they get paid for showing up, regardless of if they do a good job or not. The DJ vendor makes you fill out a 4 page form that they do not adhere to. The Cake vendor does not pay attention to detail and does not deliver the cake that is picked from the "cake book". Also, you will get to taste only 2 of the several selections she has available. The most disheartening thing was that the DJ announced the buffet was open while we were taking our pictures. When we entered reception people were finishing up, our reserved tables were taken, and we had to rush through our cake cutting. The staff did not control the flow of the wedding as promised. For $28 per head they definately need to hire a bigger staff. I had a staff of 3 in a wedding of 150 plus people. With the Chapel and Reception for the staff to cover, my expense for my "dream wedding" was ruined!! I was 2,000 miles away on my honeymoon wondering if I chose the right facility for my wedding and the answer if NO!! I wrote a lenghty letter to Walnut Creek Chapel, Owners, Staff and Vendors to express my distress. I didn't not receive a response until a month later when I sent a certified follow up letter. They responded with "It is unfortunate that you felt this way" One sentence and I spent over $7000 for 5 hours of them asking me what they should do next. BRIDES BEWARE, I DIDN'T GET WHAT I PAID FOR!!!

Walnut Creek is a beautiful facility. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Everything is their way or the high way. You pay a lot of money (a ton for Oklahoma) and should be calling all of the shots. They plan everything out for you and won't let you make any changes. I asked around with some florists and caterers after the fact (don't call A Spot for Tea, their default caterer, as it's run by the owners daughter) and found that some refuse to do jobs at Walnut Creek because they are so difficult to work with! How bad does a place need to be for a caterer to turn down a job? One said that they had a couple of guys quit right after a Walnut Creek job! They also rush and order you around on the day of the wedding. I didn't enjoy myself at all. They have a nice room for getting ready, but you only have 30mins to use it because they have the bride for the next day in there looking around during her rehearsal. Who takes 30mins to get ready for their wedding? If you want a place that looks pretty good, don't want to make any decisions for yourself, and get ordered around at your own wedding, this is your place you!
Pros: Nice facility, well kept
Cons: Staff is rude and bossy, they don't let you make any changes at all, even if you ask them well ahead of time for something specific they won't do it.
