Great hotel BUT... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!
Might as well go to a motel.
We stayed at the Biltmore because I've never heard of it and the sign said "newly remodeled". The room didn't look newly remodeled. In fact, it look quite old, dirty, and out-dated. There were hairs in the shower (ICK!), the toilet overflowed with normal use, there was a month-old receipt in plain sight in one of the drawers (they don't look in the drawers?), there were stains in the drawers, there were stains on the blankets (ICK!), there were stains on every single pillow case I had - and I asked for extra pillows, there was noise coming from the hallway and clubs all night, the hallway smelled of cigarettes, anyone could just walk into the building because the outside doors didn't require a key card, the towels were dingy white and the hotel was just generally unkept and disgusting.
I would not stay there again, nor recommend it to anyone.
You Get What You Pay For!. As you read about this hotel and say " Too good to be true" remember what your mother taught you! Yes, there is a hot tub ( full of foam and seats 4) The sauna had no light and barely generated a temp. above that in your shower. Rooms on the net claim: pillow top, Fridge and micro waves. That's what we booked. Confirmed for a late arrival we got a regular King( not pillow top, no fridge no micro, not even a full lenth mirror. Asking to be moved to what was originally booked did no good. Not even the second day! They agreed to deliver a micro and fridge to the room I was in. After 4 hours called to check again was told "oops we weren't able to find one for you." Staff was nice but front desk help clueless. Seemed they promise guests the world and delivered none of it.
Better than the rest. A hotel that's on the downturn, very obviously but very reasonably priced, good swimmingpools, good location, good parking and...yea I liked it. Much more personal than most other hotels. The check-in was a little bit difficult - thestaff is not that experienced obviously, but with a little friendlieness everything works.
Old but Pretty Nice. Some areas are run down but it's not trashy (place was built in '72). It's huge w/ 4 ballrooms, 4 pools (1 indoors), a whirlpool & sauna (indoors), excercise room, tennis courts, beautiful courtyards, a western bar w/ live racetrack betting, a cocktail lounge, a cafe, a restaurant, room service, laundry service & free 24-hr shuttle to/from the airport. Some of the front desk staff are rude, and while most hotels offer free local calls, this isn't one of them. The rooms are very nice but they don't have coffeemakers, hair dryers and irons in the rooms (they have them but you have to special request them). Rates are low. For what you get it's a bargain.
